Koalas Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The University of Queensland Koalas wanted a good start from Simon Goodfellow -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-1 University of Queensland win over the Curtin University Cockatoos at Ballpark of Queensland. Curtin University is 2-2 after the loss.
Had Harrison Marshall not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Marshall hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Koalas.
"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Marshall.
