The Central Florida Wicked Witches overcame a good performance by Ohio State designated hitter Mike Battle to knock off Ohio State, 7-5, at Ballpark of Ohio State. Battle went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Wicked Witches are now 28-26.

Central Florida used the hitting of Craig Maxwell to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Wicked Witches on top, 3-0. For the game, Maxwell had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We took home the win," said Maxwell. "What's not to like?"
