Reed Powers Evangelists to 5-1 Win
|
The Notre Dame Evangelists saddled the Washington Montlake Malamutes with a loss at Washington Grounds. The final score was 5-1. Dan Reed was 3 for 4, including 1 single and 2 home runs. The Notre Dame designated hitter scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Notre Dame has a record of 19-26, placing them 6th in the Eastern Seaboard Conference.
Reed had a key at-bat for Notre Dame in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and gave Notre Dame an early 2-0 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Evangelists manager Derek Collins, "I like our chances."
