Dragons Rally For 4-2 Win
The Rice Puddings got a sterling performance from pitcher Santiago Montáñez, but the UAB Dragons still prevailed, 4-2. Montáñez threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Roberto Gómez recorded the save, his 3rd. Today's win puts UAB at 17-28, while Rice falls to 25-20.

UAB used a timely hit from Gary Jones to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dragons ahead, 4-2. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.

UAB manager Randy Anderson praised his team's "businesslike approach."
