The Central Florida Wicked Witches got a rain-soaked win over the Pittsburgh Cathedrals.

Pittsburgh left fielder Steve Patton had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-3, to Central Florida at Cathedrals Ballpark. Patton went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bill Ferguson notched his 11th save of the season.

José Arantes-Nascimento had a clutch hit in the top of the seventh inning. With two men out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Central Florida left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Wicked Witches in the lead, 5-3.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Central Florida manager Michael Fernández.

The 4th-place Cathedrals now sit at 22-21.
