Wicked Witches Saddle Sherpas with 7-6 Loss
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Central Florida Wicked Witches defeated the West Virginia Sherpas, 7-6, at Central Florida Grounds. Leading the charge for Central Florida was first baseman Mark Norwood. He was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Bill Ferguson collected his 10th save.

The Wicked Witches got a big at-bat from center fielder Ron McDade. For the game, McDade went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Central Florida a 2-1 lead.

"There's losing your stroke and finding your stroke," said Norwood. "I guess I've found mine."

The Wicked Witches now have a mark of 20-22.
