UAB 4-1 Losers to McConaugheys
|
Marshall McConaugheys pitcher Tom Morales was in fine form, leading his team past the UAB Dragons, 4-1. The McConaugheys, at 22-17, sit in third place in the American Heartland Conference.
Marshall used a clutch at-bat from Paul Battle to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the McConaugheys ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Morales.
