The 9-6 Washington win over Stanford was due in large part to Jon Morse. The Montlake Malamutes right fielder was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Washington is 5th in the Western 10 Conference with a record of 18-18.

Washington center fielder Armando Martínez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Montlake Malamutes ahead, 3-1.

Martínez attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
