5 Straight Wins for Chili Peppers
The UCLA Chili Peppers did just enough to sneak past the Minnesota Lucky Rodents, 4-3, at Chili Peppers Ballpark. UCLA pitcher Joshua Hansen, in particular, had a standout performance. The Chili Peppers, at 31-5, sit in first place in the Western 10 Conference.

UCLA went up, 4-3, on Johnny Matthews's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Matthews hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minnesota pitcher Mike Rigney shaking his head.

"Joshua's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said UCLA manager Kinji Hayakawa.
