Hartford Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Arlington starter Alberto Flores put a stranglehold on the Hartford offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Bureaucrats to a 2-0 win. The winner was Flores. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Aaron Goater. José López picked up the save for Arlington, his 2nd of the year.
The Bureaucrats got a big at-bat from first baseman Juan Carlos Sánchez. For the game, Sánchez was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 20th double of the season gave Arlington a 1-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Arlington manager Rob Raines.
The Imperial League Seaboard-leading Bureaucrats are 28-18.
