The UCLA Chili Peppers defeated the Ohio State Scarlet Brutes, 11-5, at Chili Peppers Ballpark. UCLA was led by 18-year old catcher Dwaine Breary, who went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Chili Peppers now have a record of 27-5.

With the game tied, 5-5, in the bottom of the fifth, Breary had a key at-bat for UCLA. With the bases loaded, Breary hit a run-scoring single off Quincy Burt, making the score 6-5, Chili Peppers.

"We're producers not directors," said Breary. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
