Big Day for Castro as Starbursts Down McConaugheys, 8-0
Good production from left fielder Tony Castro helped the Villanova Starbursts topple the Marshall McConaugheys, 8-0. Castro went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Starbursts. Jordan Caldwell closed the game out for Villanova, earning his 1st save. With the win, Villanova raised its record to 19-12.

Enrico Cruz had a big 2-run triple for the Starbursts in the bottom of the third inning. With Villanova leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Welsh and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Starbursts ahead, 4-0.
