USC Drops Washington State, 3-0
|
USC starter Brandon Waddell put the Washington State offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Travelers to a 3-0 win. Dave Boucher earned the save, his 5th, for the Travelers. Even with the win, the Travelers have a dismal 8-21 record.
USC used the hitting of Josh Fleming to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Travelers on top, 2-0. For the game, Fleming had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Travelers manager António Gómez.
