California Campaniles starter Alfredo Rodríguez had all his pitches working at Ballpark of California. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 California win over the Central Florida Wicked Witches. Rodríguez picked up the win for California, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. California bumps their record to 20-8 with the win.

Ron Fields had a big 2-run double for the Campaniles in the bottom of the fifth inning. With California leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Marés and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Campaniles ahead, 3-0.

"They just got us," said Central Florida manager Michael Fernández, "and that's all I can say."
