Michael Rasmussen powered the Penn State Pride to a win over the Arizona State Solar Angels. The final score was 8-6. The Penn State left fielder, who is tied for 3rd in the USCBA COL in extra base hits with 20, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The first-place Pride now have a win-loss record of 20-7.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Penn State trailing 6-5, Rasmussen jumped on a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Wilson and hit a 3-run home run to center. With one swing, the Pride had a walk-off win.

Rasmussen described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
