The Havana Leones faced a tough opponent in London pitcher Dave Robertson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Campos Peloteros by a final score of 5-3. Robertson went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Havana reliever Francisco García picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Pedro Escalante absorbed the loss. Pablo Salinas earned the save for Havana, his 5th of the year.

Ricardo Mateo went 2-3 with a triple, while scoring 2 times for Havana. The 11-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pedro Escalante. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"Enjoyed this one," Mateo told the Havana Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The Leones are now 16-27, while the Underground fall to 22-21.
