Dambusters Handed 7-5 Loss
The Rice Puddings knocked off the Oregon State Dambusters, 7-5, in United States Collegiate Baseball Association action at Puddings Ballpark. Rice pitcher and Garland, Texas, native Theron Fox had an outstanding performance. In 6 innings, Fox surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Rice now owns a record of 13-10.

Bartolo Castaneda had a big 2-run double for the Puddings in the bottom of the third inning. With Rice leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Magnus Reus and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Puddings ahead, 4-1.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Rice manager José González.
