Starbursts Edge Central Florida in Pitching Duel
The Central Florida Wicked Witches got a superb performance from pitcher Joey Keys, but the Villanova Starbursts still won the game, 1-0. Keys threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Chris Owen closed it out for his 6th save. The second-place Starbursts sport a record of 14-10.

The Starbursts got a big at-bat from right fielder James Torres. For the game, Torres went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Villanova a 1-0 lead.

"Winning is contagious," said Torres. "We're looking forward to the next game."
