The Michigan Red Dawns picked up a win at Red Dawns Stadium, courtesy of Tony Cruz. The left-hander helped his team stop the Colorado Herd, 1-0. Arthur Robinson recorded the save, his 2nd. The 5th-place Red Dawns hiked their record to 12-9.

Had Garland Woods not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Woods hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Red Dawns.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Cruz said.
