Astronauts Pick Up 2-0 Win Over Tulane
In a tight affair between the Purdue Astronauts and the Tulane Jade Breakers, pitcher Joe Matthews was in the zone. The Purdue right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. The winner was Matthews. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Chris Chambers. Miguel Hernández closed out the game, earning his 3rd save.

Making an impact for Purdue was shortstop Dean Morgan. He drilled a triple off Chris Chambers in the top of the fifth. For the game, Morgan went 1 for 3 with a triple.

"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Matthews.

The Astronauts now have a record of 9-11 with the win over Tulane.
