Travelers Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Shastas
The Houston Shastas and USC Travelers put on quite a show.

The Houston Shastas handed the USC Travelers an extra-inning, 6-3 defeat at USC Grounds. Third Baseman Mark Patterson starred for Houston. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bob Johnston picked up the win in relief. Josh Cross took the loss for USC.

Patterson had a game-changing home run in the top of the 14th. On a first pitch splitter from Josh Cross, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Shastas a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Patterson.

"We've hit a lull," said USC manager António Gómez.

The win makes Houston 12-1.
