West Virginia got a decent performance from pitcher Quincy Griffin, but it wasn't enough to beat the Colorado Herd. Colorado won the Flat Iron Field contest, 5-3. Griffin threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. The win went to Daniel Estrada in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Quincy Griffin took the loss. Luis Ojeda was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.

Luis Ojeda recorded a big out in the top of the ninth. The Sherpas were trailing 5-3, but West Virginia had a runner on 1st with one out. Ojeda threw a 1-2 changeup to Dean Willis, who struck out.
