UCONN Klondikes starter Derek Harper led his team to victory over the Houston Shastas, 3-2. The right-hander was locked-in. With the win, UCONN lifts its record to 2-7.

Avery Boone was the walk-off hero for UCONN. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Klondikes pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Klondikes manager Tomás Acevedo.
