Persians Take Nail-Biter Over Starbursts
The Michigan State Persians did just enough to nip the Villanova Starbursts, 4-3, in 10 innings. Michigan State pitcher Max García, in particular, had a standout performance. The Starbursts drop to 5-5 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2042 season.

Michigan State got a knockout punch from David Besley. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Said Besley: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
