Red Dawns Earn Late Win
|
The Indiana Big Daddies got a superb performance from pitcher Curt Covington, but the Michigan Red Dawns still won the game, 3-2. Covington threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The win lifts Michigan to a record of 3-4.
Mitch Newitt contributed to the Michigan win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
