Dragons Suffer 14-1 Drubbing
The Villanova Starbursts had no problem beating the UAB Dragons, 14-1, at Starbursts Ballpark. Kent González led the onslaught. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice for Villanova. Ramón Bañuelos was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was 18-year old left-handed pitcher Cliff Larkin. Villanova sits at 4-3 in the early going.

With Villanova leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, González hit a fastball from Cliff Larkin for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Starbursts ahead, 6-1.

"Good pitching and timely hitting is a recipe for success," said González.
