Lucky Rodents Beat Travelers, 7-2
The timely hitting of Jorge Torres helped the Minnesota Lucky Rodents down the USC Travelers, 7-2. Torres went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Lucky Rodents. The win went to Jesús García in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Raúl Ordóñez took the loss. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Rigney.

Torres had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Raúl Ordóñez, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Lucky Rodents a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Torres.

In postgame comments, Torres told the Minnesota Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"

The win puts Minnesota at 2-2.
