Johnny Matthews had an impact in the 5-4 UCLA win over Villanova. The 19-year old second baseman went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the loss, Villanova falls to 1-1.
Right Fielder Billy Johnson made an impact for UCLA, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Ramón Bañuelos in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Johnson went 1-4 with a double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Matthews told the UCLA Chronicle.
