Vicente Cortéz never let the Borealis get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Arroyos to a win, 5-1. Aurora is 2-3 after the loss.

Michael White had a big 3-run home run for the Arroyos in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Yuma trailing 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a forkball from Armando Batista, who finished 4th in the SL in wins with 17 in 2038, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Arroyos on top, 3-1.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," White told the Yuma Observer.
