In a tight game between the El Ray Vampiros and the Zapopan Torrenas, pitcher Félix López was terrific on the mound. The El Ray right-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. António Cordero earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Torrenas drop to 4-6 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2042 season.

El Ray used the timely hitting of Gustavo Román to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vampiros on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
