Orocumojica, Maulers Beat Underground, 6-4

Due in large part to right fielder Pablo Orocumojica, the Manchester Maulers sunk the London Underground, 6-4. Orocumojica went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Ken Cole was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Masuhiro Abe. Earl Lucas finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Had Dae-su Hwa not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Hwa hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Maulers.
"We put it together and came out with the win," Orocumojica said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Maulers go to 18-19, putting them second in the Imperial League Seaboard.
