Despite the rain, the fans at PRTC Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.

The Kentucky Thoroughbreds got a superb performance from pitcher Roberto Rivera. Still, it wasn't enough to beat San Juan. The Coqui won the game, 3-2. Rivera threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The win belongs to Juan Menéndez in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Edward Anderson took the loss for Kentucky.

Jonathan Farrell had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth. The San Juan first baseman came through with a run-scoring single to put San Juan in front, 3-2.

After the game, San Juan manager Dave Camden applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

Their 10-23 record puts the Coqui last in the Imperial League Trans Atlantic.
