Cleveland Tames Camels, 3-0
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Laval Islanders and the Brampton Camels. Laval won it, 3-0. Laval starter Eric Cleveland was in command. Dimian Aldrama finished to wrap up his 7th save. The Islanders, at 27-28, sit in 4th place in the Pacific Alliance Maple Leaf.
Cleveland's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Cleveland goes to 2-0 on the year with 17 strikeouts.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Laval manager Ken Tuttle. "It's usually not just one thing."
