The Laval Islanders defeated the Seoul Crushers, 3-2, in Pacific Alliance action at Islanders Ballpark. Laval pitcher José Cabrera had a standout performance. Dimian Aldrama wrapped it up, recording his 5th save. The win elevated the Islanders to 24-21.
Left Fielder Marcos Rodríguez made an impact for Laval, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Pedro Torres in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Rodríguez was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Laval manager Ken Tuttle called it "a darn good win."
