Ricardo Cantú pitched a gem to lead Medicine Hat to victory over the Calgary Stampede, 6-1. Finley Dwennon claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-1. The Drillers improved their record to 15-27 with the win over Calgary.

Medicine Hat took the lead, 6-1, on Iván Hernández's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Calgary pitcher Juan Martínez in the bottom of the eighth.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hernández. "And not try to do too much."
