8-2 Loss to Mothra Extends Laval Losing Streak
The Kumamoto Mothra topped the Laval Islanders, 8-2, in Pacific Alliance action at Ibaraki Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kumamoto pitcher Huibert Kodde. The winner was Kodde. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Raúl Martínez. Today's win puts Kumamoto at 16-26, while Laval falls to 23-19.

Palmer Banks, the Kumamoto designated hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 4-0, Mothra. For the game, Banks went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
