Toronto starter Raymond Ammacapane kept the Laval offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his sinker in leading the Phantoms to a 4-1 win. The Phantoms now have a mark of 18-20.

Minh-Tong Wang had a big 2-run home run for the Phantoms in the bottom of the first inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from Brad Flynn, who is tied for 9th in the PCAL with a 10.1 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Phantoms on top, 3-0.

"When there are games to be won, you win them," said Toronto manager Yvon Valcourt.
