Medicine Hat and Lodoss duked it out and the Drillers came out victorious.

In a low-scoring contest between the Medicine Hat Drillers and the Lodoss Spell Swords, Tamotsu Nagata was the X factor. The Medicine Hat right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. With the victory, the Drillers record stands at 12-24.

Iván Hernández cracked a home run off Doeke Boessen in the bottom of the fifth. His solo blast put the Drillers on top, 3-2. In all, Hernández had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Drillers manager Michael Burton.
