Cabrera Spins Gem for Laval
The Laval Islanders got a stellar effort from pitcher José Cabrera, helping Laval score a win over the visiting Red Deer Kings, 6-2. Picking up his 1st save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Ted McElroy. The second-place Islanders now have a record of 22-13.

The Kings had little chance against Cabrera, who overpowered Red Deer hitters and struck out 10.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Cabrera.
