Camels Earn Late Win
Ballpark of Brampton hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Brampton Camels picked up a win at Ballpark of Brampton, knocking off the Lodoss Spell Swords, 2-1. On the mound for Brampton was right-hander Mark Myers. He played a key role in the triumph. Myers, now 1-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The save went to Harald Lamper, his 4th this season.

Motoyuki Kojima took Lodoss hurler Robert Egan deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Camels on top, 2-1. In all, Kojima had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Myers told the Brampton Observer.

The Camels improved their record to 23-9 by beating Lodoss.
