The Laval Islanders beat the Lodoss Spell Swords, 6-5, in part because of left fielder Liam Coinneach. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs. Laval pitcher Max Minter got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rodrigo Castro got the loss. Lodoss falls to 9-17.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Laval. That's when José González, who is tied for 2nd in the PCAL in stolen bases with 12, hit a solo home run off Rodrigo Castro to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"What an ending!" said a jubilant González.
