The Lodoss Spell Swords topped the Laval Islanders, 5-4, with youngster Joo-seok Yi playing a key role. Yi was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Spell Swords in the win. The win went to Martín Romero in relief, making him now 1-0. Dimian Aldrama took the loss for Laval. George Dunn nailed down his 2nd save.
Yi had a timely hit for Lodoss in the top of the seventh. With Lodoss trailing 3-2, he turned a 2-2 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Lodoss.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Yi told the Lodoss Observer.
The win leaves Lodoss with a record of 9-16.
