The Lodoss Spell Swords trumped the Laval Islanders, 9-5, at Islanders Ballpark. Lodoss left fielder Gerald Wolfe was terrific. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. For Laval, now 16-8, wins have been plentiful, losses few.

With Lodoss leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Wolfe hit a cutter from Ludovico Lugo for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Spell Swords ahead, 4-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Wolfe.
