Ryan MacMinn led Calgary to a win over Toyohira. The final score was 8-3. The Glasgow, Scotland native collected 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. Bao-qing Ping had a big 3-run home run for the Stampede in the top of the eighth inning. With Calgary leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Ryu Kunda and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Stampede on top, 7-1.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," MacMinn told a local reporter after the game.

Toyohira now is 14-9.
