Kentucky got a terrific performance from pitcher Jae-hoon Yi, but it wasn't enough to beat the West Virginia Alleghenies. West Virginia won the Raceway Park contest, 4-2. Yi threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. West Virginia is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 11th in 32 games.

Su-yeong Cho came through with a big-time hit for West Virginia. The right fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning is always a team effort," Cho said after the game.
