Late Rally Leads to 9-8 Mall Ratz Triumph
At Phantoms Ballpark, the Toronto Phantoms and Edmonton Mall Ratz were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Eric Wallace had a hand in Edmonton defeating Toronto by the score of 9-8. Wallace went 4 for 5 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 2 runs. Zuhair Abbud, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Wade Fox locked down his 2nd save.

Edmonton used the timely hitting of Gerardo Santana to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mall Ratz on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Santana.

Edmonton has a record of 6-10.
