The skies opened up and the rain fell at Den Bosch Park.

Den Bosch pitcher Alonso González had a large part in his team subduing the Liverpool Beatles, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Sang-your Pak claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 2-1.

Had Thomas Johnston not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Johnston hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Dykes.

González attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
