Slumping Bokors Lose 6th Straight
The Maine Lobsters faced a tough opponent in Port-au-Prince pitcher Mark Thompson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Maine by a final score of 5-4. Thompson went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Maine pitcher Kiril van der Ban got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Huibrecht van T Hof got the loss. The defeat makes Port-au-Prince 55-82.

Maine got a clutch hit from Alan Evans. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

"We'll put this win in the can," said Evans, "and go after the next one."
