Omaha Absorbs 6-2 Loss to Youngstown
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 26-year old right fielder Dave Elliott, the Youngstown Thunder stopped the Omaha Insurers, 6-2. Youngstown, at 63-70, holds down 5th place in the Atlantic Alliance North.
Everton Wookey aided the Youngstown cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"When you win, you always have confidence," said Youngstown skipper Bobby Bryant. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
