The 8-5 Liverpool win over Omaha was due in large part to David López. The Beatles second baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Jin-woo Dan. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-5. Liverpool goes to 62-64, Omaha to 52-74.
In the bottom of the third, López had a 3-run home run for Liverpool. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Beatles on top, 7-4.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," López told the Liverpool Today.
